Autophone

  • bug 1246696 Autophone - February 2016 maintenance
    • Ordered USB cards, USB-C to USB-A cables, additional cooling pads.
    • Van is in Phoenix the week Kevin is in SF/MV. Still trying to schedule.
    • One of my local nexus 6p devices showed marked difference in job throughput though not in the actual measurements. Reflashing and Rerooting appears to have fixed the issue.
    • Will be shipping 5 nexus-6ps to Mountain View tomorrow while keeping one for testing.
  • bug 1246686 - Autophone - attempt to alleviate network disconnections for Nexus 6P devices
    • uber and marcia have helped with moving the nexus-6p devices to other shelves but to no effect so far.
    • The Nexus 6P devices are disconnecting from the network from 100-200 times per day. This affects the ability to tests builds in a timely fashion, but I don't think it affects the measurements.
    • May be due to weak signal from ateam wifi access point or its placement relative to the devices.
  • bug 1247027 DOM Media tests do not consistently handle errors
    • Pushback on handling errors will limit ability to run Mdm tests on Android.
  • bug 1069556 Get rid of local patches, sync back up with Breakpad upstream
    • Ted landed this (mozilla-inbound 2016-02-09; mozilla-central 2016-02-10) and it has stuck so far. Haven't had enough crashes to determine if this has improved our ability to get good crash reports.
  • bug 1245900 Autophone - adb_android.py - improve is_device_ready
    • Landed a patch with intent to improve build and job setup times. Had to back out due to failures on nexus 5 devices.
  • bug 1243408 - Autophone - update test manifests to better utilize new devices and improve test coverage.
    • Need to finalize this and get review. I'll get it done today.
