MozFest Venue

MozFest 2018 is being held for it's 9th year at Ravensbourne, 6 Penrose Way, London, SE10 0EW.

Ravensbourne College is located in North Greenwich, East London and is a media and design campus. Over the custom-design nine floors, the venue caters for impromptu classrooms and prototyping labs that is open for all. The students, staff and technologist take on vital roles during Mozfest, and are always dedicated to getting involved with the festival. We are very thankful for this amazing partnership!

It's easy to get to Ravensbourne, it's right next to The O2 Arena. By Tube take the Jubilee Line to North Greenwich Station. You can also take mainline services from London Bridge, Charing Cross, Canon Street and Waterloo East to Charlton and take the 486 bus. If you fancy something a little different you can take the Thames Clipper riverboat services from central London to North Greenwich Pier or take the Emirates Airline cable car to Emirates Greenwich Peninsula.

Contactless or Oyster?

contactless-symbol.jpg
Contactless cards are issued by banks and credit card providers - you may have one already, so check your wallet or purse and look for the symbol shown above. If so, start using it - you can register your card before, during or after you travel - or not at all. If your credit card carries this symbol you will be able to pay for your fares instead of getting an oyster card. They are available online, from stations and Centers. You must add money to an Oyster card before using it.

When you arrive in London you can grab yourself an Oyster Card. You can either get one at any London Underground station or you can order one in advance using the TFL website above. You need to pay a refundable £5 deposit at a Tube station. You have to put £5 credit on to your card as well as a 7-day travel card for Zones 1 and 2. The travelcard comes to a total of £34.10, but it includes unlimited travel around Central London, so it's well worth it.

If you're traveling with other people, everyone must have their own card. You can't share a contactless or Oyster card to pay for travel. If you use any form of contactless the cost of your travel is always capped.

Deliveries

If you wish to get something delivered to Ravensbourne for use at the festival we can help with the process. Please make sure you've filled out the deliveries form for each delivery to the venue. It makes everything run a lot smoother on-site if we know in advance!

Ravensbourne will be unable to receive parcels before the October 23rd so please do not send anything before that. Please note deliveries that get stuck in customs or redirected are the sender's responsibility. Please collect your parcel on Friday the 26th Oct from the supplies room on the first floor.

| Deliveries Form

When sending your parcel to Ravensbourne it is important to use the following address format:

Creche Facilities

We have an on-site creche on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the festival.

If you wish to use the facility and book a space please fill out this form:

Printing

We have two printing companies to recommend this year.

The first is for more generic printing, so anything from posters to vinyls to stickers. Aspect Press are amazing to work with and they are a local company based just down the road from Ravensbourne. If you want anything professionally printed contact Marc Walsh and he'll do the necessary introductions.

If you require extra large or rigid printing we'd recommend you use Pixart Printing. They are a European printing company, but are extremely cheap for anything printed on cardboard, fomex, wood or aluminum. Make sure you leave plenty of time of delivery as even with a next day service, as they are delivering from mainland Europe it can be subject to delays.

Meetings and Fringe Events in London

Mozilla London office space is not as large as our previous office in Covent Garden. Due to the high volume of people in London for MozFest and the relatively small size of the MozSpace, we kindly ask you to consider meetings outside of the office for your comfort and guaranteed space.

Venue Suggestions

Mozilla London's office is a co-working building, so you can use the co-working space on the ground floor which has a cafe and large tables.

Here are recommended alternative venues for meetings and fringe events. If you're planning a fringe event, please add it to our Fringe events page on the MozFest website so we can share it further with our network and festival participants

  • Citizen M - selection of various sizes of office meeting rooms for hire
  • South Bank - Famous multi-purpose venue along the South Bank of the river

We have also looked at a number of venues for gatherings or parties, and we have attached a [1] of our recommendations.

MozLondon Recommendations Restaurants

If you have further suggestions, please add below

  • Flat Iron - Known for their incredible steaks, located in Covent Garden and Soho.
  • Le Pain Quotidien - A little more expensive, but worth it for their organic and local food they serve. Suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.
  • Magpie - Traditional English Pub serving up proper British food, just around the corner from Liverpool Street Station.
  • Darwin Brasserie - Want a restaurant with a great view and great food? Then this is the place to go to. Book online or by phone.
  • Greenwich Kitchen - Two minutes away from the festival venue, perfect for breakfast or dinner if you want to stay local.
  • Mildred's - A vegetarian restaurant that is still popular with omnivores and serves up food from local businesses and small suppliers.
  • Coppa Club - Coppa Club is a space for eating, drinking, meeting and unwinding. Built around a central, brass bar that’s open on all-sides, Coppa Club has a raised lounge for working and winding down, a 250-cover restaurant with a marble herringbone floor, and a café with booths and a fireplace. Book now the Paradise Pods still have availability in October.
  • Old Brewery Greenwich - Set within the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College and located just yards from the legendary Cutty Sark, The Old Brewery is a unique and historic pub which welcomes locals and visitors to the area throughout the year. The perfect blend of a modern and historical British experience.
