How To Find Us

Internal Goals

Detailed Updates

Below follows detailed updates on what each team is working on and toward. The leads highlighted in each section are the people you want to find if you're interested in helping out.

Firefox (Juanb)

  • Firefox
  • ESR (mwobensmith)
  • Stability (KaiRo)
    • 32.0b5 made adware crash issues worse, 32.0b6 reverts that change. The real fix is revving IIDs on Nightly, which should have been done in 32 but would probably break add-ons now.
  • Automation (ashughes)
  • Security (mwobensmith)

Firefox for Android (Kbrosnan/AaronMT)

  • Firefox
    • Stability (kbrosnan)

Firefox OS (Tchung)

  • Product (Jason/Naoki)
  • Stability (nhirata)

Platform (sydpolk)

Services (Edwong)

Web (Stephend)

  • Affiliates
    • Project enhancements are being halted until 2015
  • B2G/Gaia testing:
    • 10 new Flames coming online this week
  • Bouncer
    • problems with Edgecast
  • Engagement Projects
  • Firefox Health Report
    • Identifying automation needs
  • Firefox Marketplace
  • Mozillians
    • Weekly meeting notes
    • additional tweaks to the vouch refactor experience will continue to land
    • work on beta search is continuing
    • ongoing discussion on what data needs to be anonymized on dev and staging envs as well as how to responsibly protect from exposing user data in database dumps that are shared.
  • PluginCheck
  • Socorro
  • Webmaker
    •  :justinpotts is focusing on mentoring other community members on completing the projects automation needs

Firefox Automation (Whimboo)

  • General
  • Mozmill
    • We stopped running endurance and addon tests for Firefox versions other than Nightly
    • 20 new locales have been added for testing against Firefox Beta and Release - next 10 locales are about to get enabled
  • Puppet
    • All proxy related features and bug fixes are checked in now
    • Remaining blocker for moving our mozmill machines to puppetagain controlled hosts is the screen resolution
  • TPS
    • All tests are green for half a month now on Linux - working on getting add-on installation failure sorted out on OS X (bug 1052312)
    • was down due to a domain transfer lately so causing lots of failures (bug 1050313)
    • Draft for moving TPS framework code out of mozilla-central to its own repository on github (bug 1037084)
    • We will shutdown the old Coversheet CI system soon
