  • reCAPTCHA bustage
    • New user registration was down between 8-11 PM on Monday night.
    • Bugs filed to enhance monitoring and to fix erroneous client behavior.
    • reCAPTCHA was not down.
  • db29 strikes again? Seeing deadlock issues?

Fx Sync

  • 1.5 had l10n issues, due to missing files in the en-US l10n repo
    • no localizers caught this, error dates to pre-1.4
    • weave-l10n/en-US has been fixed after much Hg weirdness
    • en-US only 1.5 is on AMO to support Fennec Beta, plan is to ship a 1.5.1 with locales (via l10n-merge) ASAP
  • bustage on OS X trunk nightlies
    • Had some reports of this from users this AM
    • affects both 1.5 and native Sync
    • new nightlies coming with fix
    • 1.5.1 will also contain this fix
  • Mobile perf concerns with Weave.service startup
    • Weave.Service is being invoked unconditionally and too early
    • lots of known stuff to resolve, but this should have been measured a long time ago

  • Work on Sync Key UX
    • J-PAKE is first up, Tarek/Philipp/Stefan are rolling on this as of Monday
    • QR codes are a backup plan we'll tackle next
  • Improvements coming in 1.6
    • Sync more actively when devices are in use, less active when idle, sync when returning from idle

  • Status of load tests? What have we learned so far?
    • 40-50 tps which gives us about 1.5 million for normal load.
