Signpost
The Social media signpost program is an effort to reach out to Firefox users on social media networks and direct them to the right places within our support platform. We are doing that with the help of the community, ideally hundreds or thousands of people would join this effort with a portion of that continuing on SUMO.

Monitoring twitter
After monitoring our own FirefoxCares account, using our current searches, and using a free form search for Firefox on Twitter a somewhat interesting pattern emerges:
- If you search just for Firefox on Twitter the noise too high to get any meaningful results.
- More than half of all tweets are not in English.
- If you don't restrict your search with keywords there is no salient theme to the tweets, but two somewhat recurring topics: Crashes and Firefox 4 Beta features.
- If you restrict your search the list is as follows:
negative:
- Firefox crashes
- Firefox sucks (without further explanation)
- Firefox is slow (both startup and usage)
positive:
- Firefox 4 features (App-tab and TabCandy)
- Personas
Only those 3 issues are actually salient, there is no other recurring issue worth mentioning.
Copy for the site
- In addition to the text we should have a video with people from the SUMO community, telling why they help on SUMO (why is SUMO important and why they do it) + a call to action at the end.
