This was resolved by landing the patch from {{bug|1035867}} on 2014-07-28, followed by the backing out of {{bug|903291}} on 2014-07-28 and then the subsequent landing of {{bug|903291}} again on 2014-07-29. Although I found the regression quickly, I did not push hard enough to have the offending patch backed out. I will be more proactive in the future.
+* Autophone has been much more stable since the update of the platform tools. During the webappstartup breakage period when the throughput was reduced, no device disconnects occurred. Afterwards when the job throughput increased, two devices have disconnected due to adb errors but have recovered without requiring an Autophone restart or a server reboot. There may be an issue with adb when running multiple concurrent processes which would impact the ability to scale the number of devices per host in the future.
