If you're on a Mac...
On Windows (XP and later), you don't need to install anything special, as Ubiquity will use the operating system's built-in "toaster"-style pop-up messaging.
On Linux, we donyou shouldn't have a good messaging system yet. If to do anything special: just make sure you have a suggestion for how Ubiquity can display messages on Linux (preferably in a way that will work on all major distros and window managers), please tell us about it. => there is libnotify on Linux.There is a related BugZilla discussion 're updated to the latest version of dbus notification here:[https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404738] => there is Knotify on KDE.http://www.snailbyteFirefox.com/2006/08/24/rails-autotest-growl-notification-using-dcop-and-knotify/
