 The Mozilla Reps Council is the program’s 9-member governing body composed of 2 permanently appointed Staff members and 7 elected volunteers who are serving 12-month terms. The Council exists to ensure that the Mozilla Reps Program. It provides program runs smoothly, oversees the general vision governance and finances of the program and oversees day-to-day operations globallyserves as an advisory body within the Mozilla organization. Currently, 7 volunteers and 2 paid staff sit on The Reps Council takes strategic decisions regarding the program with input by the rest of the councilleadership body. Its specific duties and functions are to:
* Provide a governance and support structure to assist Mozilla Reps worldwide
* Oversee global budget /swag management for events
* Represent Mozilla Reps interests within the Mozilla organization
* Nominate Mozilla Reps mentors
* Resolve disputes
* Provide guidance for Mozilla Reps
[[ReMo/Council/Elections|Elections]] are held every 6 months for 4 or 3 positions that are open. (see [[ReMo/Council/History|Council History]])
 
Eligibility and criteria based on Council experience in 2016-2017 terms are:
