I think it would also be essential to allow for system-wide profiles/theme/extensions/search plugins vs. the ones for individual users. Administrators should be able to install system wide themes etc., should be able to pre-set certain preferences and to lock down preferences or installed components. Also, profiles should finally be fully relative (at least on Linux): no full paths to file names in the profile settings and e.g. a command line option to set the profile root. | |||
