The annotated resources are organized and kept in simple wiki pages, so there are less rules associated with server systems and focus on possibilities for team-centered conventions. This is a key component of this project as we want to minimize the aspects of governance and let participants simply create open-based repositories and start collaborating. While keeping an user interface that let everyone express while they are browsing, the system aims to spread the idea that annotations about live events can eventually become an open-based education resource. This may support educational organizations to break traditional thinking that all the materials need to be books or something that is old-fashion printed. Since everyone is contributing, the association with personal attribution may loose value as the social interactions can gain attention thus spreading a culture of continued collaboration over the materials.

* March 2nd 2010, Sao Carlos, Spoke today with Armando, Neto from ICMC/USP department about the problems this project is facing. The main issue in this project refers to how to publish and organize information from session participants without the requirement if a server system install. It is a key identify in this project the ability to plug to an existing well-know repository of function that can serve as a place where participants can build things together. This is major because we do not want educational facilities to go through complex signup/signoff process, governance aspects or maintenance on server systems. We really want to keep the team organized convention aspect. Some topic items for my homework - RSS future, publish subscribe models, Salmon Protocol http://www.salmon-protocol.org/, and Google http://code.google.com/p/pubsubhubbub/. Armando also talked about Raindrop a few days ago and I will also investigate if Raindrop can become a local server host. One possible option here is to come up with a local server app that goes at the level of the intranet, let's say a class, and where participants can attach too. The final production may become a mix of data and events that can then be dispatched against a repository and eventually become online documentation or applications.
