The goal
* {{bug|640791}} for improvements to memory profiling in Firefox 5
== The goal Goals ==
To Primary goal: get the number of leaks reported against a single version of Firefox down to zero, and keep it there. Steps required along the way: * To get in place reliable means of measuring memory usage that detect when new leaks and other memory usage increases are introduced. The current Tp4/Tp5 tracking is a start, but needs to be improved. * To get fix any leaks that existing tools (Valgrind, trace-malloc, etc) can find, and get infrastructure in place to prevent new ones being added. * To get static analysis in place to automatically detect some kinds of leaks. Sayre has ideas about this.
