Comprised of 7 Mozilla Reps and 2 Mozilla paid-staff, the Mozilla Reps "Jedi" council Council has the following duties and functions:
* help provide governance and support structure to assist Mozilla Reps worldwide* help oversee global activities* help oversee global budget management for events, swag* help nominate global membership administratoroversee nomination and election process for mentors and council members* help resolve disputes
* help provide guidance and inspiration for Mozilla Reps

Mozilla Rep mentors play a crucial part in the success of the program. They are responsible for:
* Liaise regularly with Mozilla project teams
''NB: in the initial phase of the Mozilla Reps program (Phase 1), members of the provisional council are were designated by the ReMo project leads (William and Pierros) based on a specific different criteria, notably on geographic location and on the member's level of participation in early brainstorms of the program. When Now that the Mozilla Reps reach has reached mature stage later this year, an election/designation or rotation system will be has been introduced in order to enable select the next members of the Mozilla Reps Council, going forward.''  === Beyond the Mozilla Reps Program === Mozilla Reps Council members are by definition extremely experienced and accomplished Mozilla volunteers who have a deep commitment to elect members of the councilproject and as such, based on 6the Mozilla Reps Council believes that they should logically participate in strategic decision-month terms making at the organizational level.  Mozilla Reps is still a relatively new program so our focus has until recently been to define the best growth path for Reps within the program (or short/longer terms ie. Rep --> Mentor -- > Council Member). Now that the program is reaching maturity, we have been spending more time exploring a growth path for Reps beyond the program and into higher circles of leadership.
