For Lightning 0.3, it's a bit more complex.
# Create a local calendar.
# Add an event.
# Export the calendar as .ics
# Exit calendar.
# Copy the new calendar file to the FTP server (under another name if you wish).
# Open calendar
# Choose 'New...' under the calendars tab.
# Choose 'On the network'
# Type is 'ics'
# Location is the ftp url for the file (ftp://user:pass@domain/filename)
