Places is currently enabled in on the "trunk" build of Firefox(aka Firefox 3 aka Minefield aka Gran Paradiso), but only for and powers History. To use Places for both bookmarks and historyBookmarks, you must enable it at build-time using --enable-places-bookmarks. Detailed instructions as well as providing plumbing for building Firefox are available in the [[mdc:Build Documentation|MDC Build Documentation]]Livemarks, Annotations and Microsummaries.
Places-bookmarks Trunk builds are considered unstable and are recommended only for developers at this timeand those testers who like to live dangerously.
