***** The problem with the actual mockup tabs is that they aren't 'terminated': they can't end in white, but they need some sort of closing border. Remember that under them there's a page, and ending suddenly the tabs will be a bit bad. --Folletto Malefico 11:38, 30 September 2007 (PDT) | ***** The problem with the actual mockup tabs is that they aren't 'terminated': they can't end in white, but they need some sort of closing border. ***** Agreed. Whether they're connected top or bottom, I think it's crucial they keep that border at the connecting interface --W.woods 02:30, 1 October 2007 (PDT)

*** I don't dislike them, they do fit well and I wouldn't be upset if they were chosen.. I just prefer the glassy ones a bit more. But I haven't experienced them in large and that can change everything. W.woods | *** I don't dislike them, they do fit well and I wouldn't be upset if they were chosen.. * I think the less-saturated, slightly darker colours of JurMous's mock-ups fit the theme better. The lighter blue reload button reminds me too much of the toxic blue one we have in Fx 2 :) And the bright green on the location bar is a bit glary--W.woods

* If the home button stays (and I hope it will) perhaps a different, unique, solid colour? We already have a lot of green on there--W.woods | * If the home button stays (and I hope it will) perhaps a different, unique, solid colour? *** I agree. It feels out of place. Also, the "icon" for the feed is just the part we've used before, the "orange button" is just one form to use it. :) --Folletto Malefico 11:40, 30 September 2007 (PDT) | *** I agree. * Bookmarks toolbar: in the mock-ups, how about adding a hover effect over one of the buttons, so we can see what they look like when active. Maybe a squarer, more space-efficient shape would look good with the new theme? | * Bookmarks toolbar: in the mock-ups, how about adding a hover effect over one of the buttons, so we can see what they look like when active. *** I think that some sort of glow is ok, but the one in the mockup doesn't feel good in my opinion. A little less evident, with a lighter icon and maybe a mantching border-button color? --Folletto Malefico 11:39, 30 September 2007 (PDT) | *** I think that some sort of glow is ok, but the one in the mockup doesn't feel good in my opinion. *** It actually wasn't the "glow" I was concerned with. It's just that the shapes of the bookmarks buttons are invisible until they're hovered over, and they're an important part of the theme. Currently they're the same shape as the search/find bars (same as Safari), but it's worth considering how a squarer (with rounded edges) button or even a permanently visible (but minimal) border/divider would look with the new theme. (I'm not too hopeful about the latter, but worth considering) --W.woods 02:30, 1 October 2007 (PDT)

* I'd love to see a mock-up of the bookmarks toolbar with favicons restored, especially when the toolbar is full and it'll otherwise look like a grey jungle. This would also allow for an rss icon to be attached to livemarks, but still keep a dropmarker. The current solution (just having an rss icon AS the dropmarker) gives no suggestion that it's even a drop menu. Even if it ultimately doesn't fit the theme, I think it's worth investigating. ** I think the favicons make the bookmark bar a color jungle. The bookmarks are there for when you need them and not constantly drawing attention.
