Talk:Firefox:Configurable Keybindings
From MozillaWiki
It would be nice to have a place to discuss other keybinding issues, such as:
- Default Keybindings
- Default Behavior of 'Special' Keys, namely:
- Tab / Shift-Tab / Etc.
- Enter etc.
- Esc ...
- Backtick/Tilde (~) ...
- -_ and =+ ...
- Backspace/Delete ...
- Er sorry enough is enough but you get the point.
- Consistency/Predictability Issues:
- How to close a tab/window/alert box/sidebar/find bar/etc. e.g. can you repeat the hotkey to toggle (like the history sidebar) or the escape key (find bar, alerts etc.) etc.
So is there a place for this sort of discussion?
Reason for ctrl-click option
Just thought I'd mention that, as a left-handed Toshiba Tablet M200 user, I grew quite accustomed to using Shift-clicking to open links in new tabs (using [Maxthon http://www.maxthon.com/]. I haven't found a way to customize this in Firefox which is quite disappointing--so I think adding this functionality to 3.0 would be a great improvement! --Rcouch 16:51, 18 May 2007 (PDT)
