Test Day May 8, 2008
Time schedule for Thursday (into Friday morning for Asia) is on the Testdays page, which also tells you how to get started and how to get help.
Test days are done primarily to stress test a development version of Thunderbird, to identify its strengths and weaknesses.
Thunderbird 3 code has been on "trunk" since mid-2006. For this first test day, we want to put Thunderbird 3 alpha 1 (still development code) in the hands of a more diverse population of users who can try it, test it and give feedback to which will then be used to help the development process.
See Testday information for details of what to test and how to test.
Before starting, see the Testdays page for information about what to do and how to get help. Don't be concerned if you don't understand everything, just ask for help.
