I'm wondering, why not map to what's in buildbot more closely? Any variation of that so far hasn't served us well, and led our community to believe things about our builds that aren't true.

Examples: Changes aren't reflected here at all, nor are buildsteps. Both are really valuable when trying to understand what the build is doing, and what failures mean.

OTH, this exposes rather flawed concepts like branch and revision, which don't serve us well in all non-single-repo builds.
