When tags are implemented in Thunderbird this would be a wonderful extension. I already use something like this with the HeaderTools extensions (which adds Tags) and virtual folders.

The extension should be a sidebar that replaces the Account folder (much like Lightning or Contacts sidebar) with the options that you have for Categories. Drag and drop to a tag and the message is tagged. Click on the tag and show all messages with that tab (which is nothing more than a virtual folder). --Audunmb 06:56, 15 June 2006 (PDT)
