Participatory, collaborative agenda.

What we're up to We care about teaching the world the web.

To further that goal, we're convening a group of learners to become Webmaker Mentors. They'll learn to hack teaching materials, plan events, and support one another.

But these learners need help. That's where you come in.

As someone experienced in teaching the web, running events and/or creating teaching materials, you are a Webmaker Super Mentor. In an online course from May 2 - June 30, we invite you, Super Mentors, to help train new Mentors. The course is called "Teach the Web", and it will be run like a "MOOC", which is an open, collaborative learning format online. We aim to have 500+ learners in the course, teamed up with 50+ Super Mentors. From today until April 30, we invite you to help shape this course.

We're all learning how to teach the web together.

This call will explain how you can bring your experiences, lessons and hacks into the course, so that more people know how to make the web and how to teach others.

Who's here As mentioned, you all have experience in at least one of these things:

teaching the web

   designing curriculum
   running participatory events
   We're a mixture of:
educators, techies, makers and other people passionate about teaching the web -- and teaching others how to teach the web.
   We're going to teach:
the people we care about. Whether that's a class, our friends + family, colleagues -- whomever!
   Why you are here?
Please share your thoughts. Why are you passionate about mentoring, in 1 *short* sentence.

   Blog posts.
   Overview of three main topics
1: Introduction to Webmaker: Learn how openness and online collaboration can help you innovate your practice and increase impact.
2: Remix and Contextualize: Learn how to adapt educational resources to address topics and learners you care about.
3: Do & Share: Learn how to test your remixed materials with a live audience and improve them through peer feedback.
   Example etherpad scaffolding
Week One: Making as Learning Link will go live right after call
