Deliverables
- 1) "Event Wizard" -- a guided, step-by-step UI that presents the user with simple, guided choices
- 2) "Event Launch Page" -- once their event is created, this page makes it easy for the event's participants to get started once they show up.
- 3) "Kit" -- OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THE WIZARD, BUT NEEDS TO BE DONE -- the self-guided activity for participants
Event Types
- We're making it easier for potential event organizers by giving them a simple "chocolate, vanilla or strawberry" set of choices. The three choices are:
- "Make a music video" -- create a simple musical mash-up using Popcorn
- "Hack your school" -- remix your school's website using the X-Ray Goggles
- "Protect your privacy" -- see who's tracking you online using Lightbeam. Then do something about it. (TO BE DETERMINED)
Flow
The user gets guided through:
- Step 1: Understand wtf a Maker Party is
- Step 2: Choose the type of event I want to run
- Step 3: Understand what my event will look like
- Step 4: Create my event
LATER:
- Step 5: Host shares their event launch page. Participants show up and click "get started" on the Event Launch Page. It makes it easy for participants to start making.
