Status

Previous Action Items

  • Fred - Identify and Fix remaining bugs.
  • Ryan and Fred - Re-define requirements.
  • Matt - Will hand-off other projects and refocus on testing Markup.
  • Jabba - Will react accordingly to redefined requirements.

Updates

Fred

  • His concern is that TBG's solution is not solving the root problems of performance.
  • How are we going to fix the performance issues?
  • Their only validation is to determine if the same mark has been saved twice.
  • The problem to save a mark to the DB has been fixed.
  • The problem of the sheer size of a mark is still a problem.
  • More infrastructure power is not going to solve the performance problem.
  • Could we store the mark on the filesystem instead of the database?

Laura

  • She has a meeting with TBG at 10am today.
  • She originally was going to shoot all of the PR pieces at the same time, but a staggered approach is better now.
  • The earliest we can go on the website is May 30th due to TBG changes, QA, IT, and the upcoming holiday weekend.

Matt

  • No status updates
  • He is going to be on PTO on the 23rd

Corey

  • No updates, just waiting for dev changes.

Ryan

  • Have we pushed the database changes to Dev and Stage?

Stas

  • Can we fix any of the string issues for right to left text in Arabic language?

Action Items

  • Fred: Talk to IT about pushing the prod changes back to dev and stage
  • Laura: Talk to TBG about working on the right kind of fixes to solve the biggest problems.
  • Matt: Load balance dev and stage after the new database changes have been pushed back.
  • Stas: He is going to work with his localizers to make a few small CSS/HTML changes for language issues.
