Objective
The main aim of this event is to improve women's visibility and involvement and increase the Girls' participation in open source and Mozilla. We want to make girls aware about the challenges in the field of IT. Also, we want to interact with the huge group of people who are already contributing or wants to contribute to Mozilla and open source. We want to ameliorate women's presence and participation in Mozilla and open source.
What will be the expected output
- Knowledge and development: This event is mainly focused for girls developer. We teach girls about Firefox OS Apps Development and Add-ons. We have Firefox testing session and HTML5 session as well. We will teach some hacking tips and make aware about web making tools as well.
- Media: Media will make this a BUZZ and many parts of the country will be able to see that women are going ahead and they will be inspired.
- Connections: This event will help us to create our new connection with geeky girls in Mozilla. This will be very helpful for our Community.
- Ideas and creativity: Through Womaniya, we will get lots of creative ideas for community and share them with other Mozillians.
- Awareness: Womaniya will help to Girls to become independent in the field of open source and technology and make them aware about open web/technology and Mozilla.
- Fun: Obviously! There will be fun and lots of entertainment also.

The Mozilla Womaniya is designed to help girl Students connect with each other, align around our mission and create a shared vision of the future. By the end, we'll have a concrete strategy to make this vision real. Combining a Hands-on session, Development, webmaker, creativity and fun activity designed by our great Mozillians, the Womaniya is 15 hours of magic, created by and dedicated to the Mozilla community.
