Mozilla Education Weekly Status Meetings

Meeting Details

  • Every Monday at 8:00am Pacific time (See other time zones),
    except for the first Monday of each month
    (reserved for the monthly teachingopensource.org teleconference)

Pressing *1 will mute or unmute your line. If you're having trouble hearing other people, pressing *6 will make the conference louder to you (*4 makes it quieter). If other people are having trouble hearing you, pressing *9 will make you louder to everyone else (*7 reverses this).

Here are topics that have been proposed for future calls, with possible presenters and dates as noted:

  • Discussion of a possible second course in cooperation with Creative Commons (tentatively scheduled for June 8 with Ahrash Bissell and Lila Bailey)
  • Discussion of a possible online course to teach "open skills" (Mark, may be combined with above call)
  • Report on the SoftHum workshop held in Philadelphia June 11-12 (Frank, June 15)
  • Discussion of doing online course focused specifically on teaching Mozilla technologies (Dave)
  • Teaching people about the open web and the proposed Open Web Education Alliance (John Allsop)
  • Discussing doing a Mozilla case study for the proposed FOSS textbook (Dave / Frank).
