Overview

This page provides a list of what to look for while testing the new Knowledge Base: SUMO release 2.3.

Exempt from testing

• IE6
• Admin functions
• Text: Latin generic phrases, or generic English [ex: Topic Name 1 on /home]
• /mobile home page links
• Log in page is still tiki
• translations of the page in other locales [ex: https://master.support.mozilla.com/de/gallery/images]

open bugs

• upload in media gallery not working for foreign characters
• deleting images in media gallery not fully implemented yet
• no video icons [yet] for videos in the media gallery
• sidebar links not all working
• bad link to Support Document Guide on /edit
• /mobile page links not finished
• Opera 'Help With' sidebar not working
• /contributors dashboard 'Translations Needing Updates' isn't populating

Create article

Article History

• Admins able to approve/reject revisions
  • minor, content changes, major
  • If you want to approve/reject revisions, log in with username: sumo1 pw: sumo1
• compare revisions

Email notifications

• automatic for article author
• subscribe/unsubscribe to notifications
• approved/rejected revision notification with optional text to editor

Search

• search results for both kb articles and forum posts
• able to search keywords

Article Discussion

• Create a new thread
• Add reply to a thread

Localization

• Able to localize any /en-US/kb/article into another language when logged in
• URL format: https://master.support.mozilla.com/fr/kb/super-taxi-driver/translate
• can create new articles in other locales, but unable to localize
• localize tab goes to list of languages and then to localize page

Media gallery

• https://master.support.mozilla.com/en-US/gallery
• able to upload images and videos in allowed formats
