    • bug 199692 (implement document.elementFromPoint) changes behavior from a web point of view, adding a new API. The method is otherwise cross-browser, and all the browsers people care about already support it. The patch is mostly ready and partially approved at this point (may be totally ready/reviewed by meeting time), and it has a fair number of tests for various edge cases (XUL, anonymous content, generated content, etc.). Since this affects web behavior, if it's to be in 1.9 it will need approval to break the Gecko feature freeze.
