Content Update

  • Progress Last Week
  • Planned for This Week
  • Issues/concerns:
    • bug 199692 (implement document.elementFromPoint) changes behavior from a web point of view, adding a new API. The method is otherwise cross-browser, and all the browsers people care about already support it. The patch is fully reviewed, and it has a fair number of tests for various edge cases (XUL, anonymous content, generated content, etc.). Since this affects web behavior, if it's to be in 1.9 it will need approval to break the Gecko feature freeze.

Mac OS X Update

  • Progress Last Week
    • Josh, Stan, Colin at Mozilla Corp onsite
    • Steven worked on various blockers
    • 5 significant Cocoa widget bugs fixed, blocker list down into low 20s
