To clarify:
* These are the elements we believe it's important to pay attention to when teaching other people how to read, write and participate on the Web
* We’re referring to the categories as <em>strands</em>
* Competencies are groups of skills
* The meta-level elements (which we’ll perhaps call <em>literacies</em> or <em>clusters</em>) are made up of competencies from different strands
