The current rollout timeline looks like this:

• May 15 – The Hive Community Member Badge demo on mofostaging with small group of Hive "friends" invited to apply via direct link to get feedback on badge design, about 2 dozen users.
• June 15 – Soft launch of Hive Community Member Badge on Webmaker.org, selected Hive "champions" will be issued badges directly via email to test the full webmaker profile based system for bugs and get feedback, about 50 users.
• July 15 – Full launch of Hive Community Member badge on Webmaker.org, selected Hive members (400) will be issued badges directly via email, the link to earn the badge on Webmaker.org will be shared publicly via mostly internal channels (minigroup).
