We need your help with Romanian !

Mozilla relies on a worlwide network of skilled volunteers to translate software and websites in >100 languages.
The Romanian locale is currently at risk as we don't have maintainers for your language.
Think you can help translating Firefox in Romanian ? Read our Welcome Page and contact us via:

See you soon!

Welcome to the page of the Romanian localization team at Mozilla. Here you will find lists of team leaders and translators, information on how to become part of Mozilla's L10n project, and links to pages where you can learn more about translating Mozilla's products and services.

The Romanian (ro) L10n team

Team website: http://www.mozilla.ro

More informations about all areas of contribute you can find here.

How to join this l10n team

To help localize Mozilla products and websites into Romanian:

  1. Create a Pontoon account to submit translation suggestions.
  2. Make 1-2 suggestions to get a feel of the Pontoon interface and to be counted as a Romanian contributor. The project mozilla.org is best suited for beginner contributions, but you can pick any you like.
  3. Read the style guide and have a look at the terminology
  4. Learn to use Transvision, a web-based translation memory, to make sure translations are consistent with the existing translations.
  5. After you've submitted a few translation suggestions and you verified their consistency with Transvision, e-mail the following team members to get feedback for your contributions:
    1. Jobava at jobava[AT]mozilla.ro
    2. Ioana Chiorean at ioana[DOT]chiorean[AT]gmail[DOT]com
    3. Cristian Silaghi at cristian[DOT]silaghi[AT]mozilla[DOT]ro.
  6. Introduce yourself to the Mozilla Romania community by emailing the mailing list.
  7. If you find bugs in the existing translation, please file a bug here.
