The effectiveness of the Internet as a public resource depends upon
interoperability (protocols, data formats, content), innovation and
decentralized participation worldwide." - Mozilla Manifesto

Web standards are why every browser displays web pages the same way - or should do. Mozilla is a leading contributor to emerging web standards for new areas such as web video and audio, 3D graphics and improvements to HTML. In collaboration with other browser vendors, we design and implement standards which go with the grain of the web as an open platform for innovation, allowing authors to build dynamic sites which are accessible, look great, and work well for everyone no matter what type of computer they use.
