Purpose of the Goal

We are initiating a reward and recognition program in order to encourage activity, keep the community engaged and onboard new contributors

Plan

This needs to be split into several sub-goals

1. Create an overview of the support community:

  • AOA
  • Help Forum
  • Live Chat
    • interview community members to understand what incentives are working for them

2. Set-up a clear level system, decide the metrics by which contributor can move to next level and incentives that come with each level

  • Set-up recognition badges for good contributions
  • Create user titles and profiles

3. Create a separate program for retaining contributors and converting them into regular ones (goal for Q2)

4. Incentives that can be applied immediately

  • initiate contributor interviews on the blog
  • initiate regular phone calls with the community
  • create monthly awards: most productive newcomer, most enthusiastic contributor
  • send personalized cards for special events (e.g birthdays)
  • celebrate milestones and congratulate the community
  • organize SUMO Oscars
