Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology or BUET as it is commonly known, is a Public Engineering University in Bangladesh. It is the oldest Engineering institution (Established: 1876) in the region, and is regarded as the best university for technical education in Bangladesh. http://www.buet.ac.bd

17th September 2011, we meetup with the Mozillians in BUET, to discuss about our upcoming Open Source (Mozilla Campus Campaign) event at BUET, dated 27th September 2011. Earlier we decided with 24th but we pushed the date a bit for some issues. We survey the event venue today for the preparation. Btw, the topics that we have selected for the events are -

History of Mozilla & Firefox. Collaborative Web development. Web security. Open source projects in Bangladesh. Licensing issues.

There would be quiz, Q&A and review sessions also, we will fine-tuning the topics before our next pre-event meeting.

24th September 2011: This are the BUET event updates - 1. i've designed some posters with the help of Mozilla Creative Collective. PS: The scheduled event in 26th sep. at Asian University Bangladesh (AUB) will be delayed. as per My visit and discussion with Mr. Hasan,General Secretary, computer club, AUB, dated 23th sep. We will announce the date soon.
