Short Description

The purpose of TRIBE is to deepen the skills of the LEAD program. TRIBE introduces the key concepts of LEAD throughout the project in support of cultural transformation. This program is for all members of the project. Invited are people who want to develop their skills, regardless of their role within the project. This will contribute to cultivating a peer-to-peer culture, creating greater global connectedness, and expanding our capacity.

Foundation – Awareness of Self - Core Practices and Skills – 2 days PREREQUISITE FOR ALL OTHER SESSIONS
Have a life stance of Outcome-Creating vs. Problem-Reacting Build self-awareness of your strengths and limitations Have goals for your development Be mentored Embrace failing as a key part of success	Practice 3 Levels of Listening Design alliances Know your strengths through StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment and interviews with people you work with. Working with Others – 2 days

Finding Your Storyteller – 1 day

I Am Typing – 2 days
Be authentic and bold Be conscious of your impact	Stay on type (I Am Type) Hold the room Develop your range Be compelling
Awareness of Your Impact – 2 days
Take responsibility for the outcome you create Choose consciously Take initiative and act on your ideas	Be clear about the contribution you want to make to the tribe How to be your best and get along in this weird and wonderful culture Be fluent in the norms and values of Mozilla Use your intuition to make decisions Develop your Emotional Intelligence (may use EQ assessment in preparation)

Finding Your Storyteller

• SF Bay Area – December 10th (FULL)

I Am Typing

• SF Bay Area – November 13-14 (FULL)

Current Status and Further Work

• June 2013, launch of Session One - awareness of self.

• In 2013, Foundation - Awareness of Self will be offered in North America, Canada and Europe; class size of 24.

• In 2013, Finding Your Storyteller will be offered in North America and Canada; class size of 22.

• In 2013, I Am Typing will be offered in North America once or twice; class size of 20.

• Tribe’s Train the Trainer – in year one of Tribe, 2-4 members of the People Team will be trained to lead this within the project. Ostensibly handing it over to the project to run and deliver.
