Maker Party Event Wizard

Deliverables

• 1) "Event Wizard" (Zahra) -- a guided, step-by-step UI that presents the user with simple, guided choices
  
  • A "Maker Party wtf / "how do I do it" experience (Jess) -- an experience (could be a slide show, illustrations, etc. that helps the user imagine what their event will look like, tailored to each of the three events types (Make a music video, Hack your school's website, or Protect your privacy)
• 2) "Event Launch Page" -- once their event is created, this page makes it easy for the event's participants to get started once they show up.

Event Types

• We're making it easier for potential event organizers by giving them a simple "chocolate, vanilla or strawberry" set of choices. The three choices are:
  • "Make a music video" -- create a simple musical mash-up using Popcorn
  • "Hack your school" -- remix your school's website using the X-Ray Goggles
  • "Protect your privacy" -- see who's tracking you online using Lightbeam. Then do something about it. (TO BE DETERMINED)

Flow

The user gets guided through:

• Step 1: Understand wtf a Maker Party is
• Step 2: Choose the type of event I want to run
• Step 3: Understand what my event will look like
• Step 4: Create my event

LATER:

• Step 5: Host shares their event launch page. Participants show up and click "get started" on the Event Launch Page. It makes it easy for participants to start making.
