Teach the Web Talks
Teach The Web Talks
What are they?
Teach The Web Talks are monthly webinars broadcast by the Mozilla foundation.
Join us as we sit down with a community expert to discuss all things related to education and the web. The call will last for approximately an hour with group participation.
Standard call agenda:
- 10 mins - Welcomes and introductions
- 20 mins - Discussion with speaker
- 15 mins - Q&A period with speaker
- 5-10 mins - Additional business and wrap-up
How to get involved
These calls are open to everyone. Join in on the discussion, ask questions or advice and work together to encourage web users to become webmakers.
You can post your questions on Twitter using #TTW and on our Discourse thread if you are unable to join the call on the day. We will create a new Discourse Thread per tal and the correct thread to use will be highlighted in our emails.
To join the call we actively promote using your video, unmuting, saying hi and asking questions. However we understand that not everyone enjoys this level of interaction. So we encourage participants to be comfortable and choose a participation opinion that suits the individual.
Times
We meet at 10am Eastern time. That's currently 7am Pacific Standard Time | 4pm Central Europe Time | 8:30pm India Standard Time.
Confused? A calendar you can subscribe to can be found here
How to dial in
The Teach the Web Talks can be joined on Google hangout. We will send out the link to the talk the week before the hangout and we ask for questions to be posted on Twitter using #TTW or on Discourse. We will be monitoring both during the call also.
If joining the Google hangout you can mute your screen and your microphone on the small tool bar at the top of the screen. If you are a local cafe or school that has alot of background noise it might be advisable to mute your microphone until you want to say hi or ask a question.
All calls will be recorded and available to watch later on Airmozilla
