Is midsummer really a good day for this? I wouldn't expect anyone from Scandinavian countries to come.

How is 23-June mid-summer? It's the second day of summer.

When does your summer start? ;) Midsummer is the weekend near 20-24 June http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midsummer

I didn't know 'midsummer' was a holiday... in the US "summer" typically is considered to start at the Summer solstice, which is 21-June this year. So mid-summer for us would be early August, which is when most workers take vacation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer
