Summary

As the Phonebook adds new functionality, we need a way to both share information and ask for information from user. A banner will allow us to show announcements and also asks users for input (completing their profile or taking another action).

Features

• Users can be shown an announcement or a call to action. For example: Asking a user to complete their profile. Or when a new data field is added to profiles, asking users to fill in that field.
• Banner can be dismissed by the user.

Future

• Possibly have multiple banner messages active at once, similar to the Firefox snippet service.
• Banner could be customized for users to information most relevant to them based on their location, groups or skills.
