Release quality metrics (Tuesdays)

  • Crash rate for 105.0b7 appears a bit elevated in MC2, primarily on Linux/macOS - likely an artifact of low usage hours
    • No obvious signatures spiking in Socorro and Windows crash rate is stable compared to b6 (where adoption is higher)
  • Working to get the one remaining S1 bug affecting 105 uplifted to beta (bug 1785185)
  • Pushing to address bug 1779202 this cycle still, even if it means backing out the regressing change

Desktop Stability

mc2 crash incidence (% of users experiencing a crash): 2.66% (+0.75pp compared to previous week) == back to normal level, crash rate (crashes/active hour for crashing profiles): 1.91 (+0.04)

2 top crashers most likely caused by the big WebRTC update last week, set as release blockers:

mc2 crash incidence: 1.53% (-0.02pp), crash rate: 3.17 (+1.11)

mc2 crash incidence: 0.69% (-0.01pp), crash rate: 1.83 (+0.17)
