  • they are having internal discussions about v1 vs. v2
  • but folks at Mozilla have a shared understanding of the plan

  • it doesn't seem like marketplace needs to be certified
  • and there is the question of how to cache marketplace
  • folks are working on it

definition of third party apps

  • all apps submitted to the marketplace are third party
  • but any website can install an app, and those are also third party
  • all apps from any site, whether from mozilla marketplace or other sites, are third party apps
