BMO/Meetings/2013-07-16
Meeting notes:
mcote, ekyle, shyam, glob, dkl, gerv, lizzard
email of the day: tcl (push server) accidentally deleted their synchronization scripts.
glob: changes to the "nag" feature so it is customizable
mcote: working on review board. authentication issues. would ldap help? no because bugzilla isn't under ldap. mark is using xmlrpclib, pulling login cookies out and writing them back in. kyle asks if persona would work for it. bugzilla already uses persona.
planning to discuss project management at the work week Aug. 5.
the sanitized data dump of bmo has attachment metadata but not the attachments. if bug_group_map has the bug id then it is not public. What other pieces of a bug can be private? in the comments table there is a field for private comments and there's an is_private field on the attachments as well.
gerv talks about the general group system for bugs and the other inside groups. we should document this somewhere.
glob: we do have some changes from upstream bugzilla. you can file bugs into any group even if you're not a member. for example you can be a new user and file a bug that is confidential or security sensitive.
shyam: this weekend IT tested failover for bugzilla, to phoenix. filed a test bug, added attachments, most things worked but there was an issue in something to do with dns entries. the database went into read-only mode. sheeri set phoenix read-only for a few minutes.
kanban/bugzilla, meetings with laura thomas's team. jake maul is working on it and we're going to talk in person at the Aug. 5 work week .
