(FYI) Brainstorming Career opportunities (karl)

On the survey Mozilla asked "I believe there are good career opportunities for me at Mozilla". I'm not sure everyone understand "career opportunities" in the same way. So I would like to have a better understanding of what it means for each of us, so we can communicate the diversity of opinions about it. Here some of the categories I thought about. There are probably more. * change of titles (role recognition) * change of salary (money) * change of responsibilities (practical work being done in the team) * change of team (working on different things inside the company) So if you have ideas about what it means for different people. I will be happy to hear about them.

  • dennis: For me, attending conferences, and the whole personal developent topic are usually also part of "career opportunities".

  • Cipri: Moderation/Triage, TSCI issues re-checking, shims testing. New lockdown starting today.
  • Dennis: Diagnosis, learning GitHub Actions, learning a bit more about the WPT sync infrastructure and WPT in general, watching news.
  • James: WebDriver bidi blogging (well kind of). wptsync excitement. Some upstream wpt work.
  • Karl: Diagnosis, dev ops config here and there. Discussing a bit of work organization. KAYAK!

  • Tom: Bereavement leave and related PTO (RIP dad). Coping with that and other 2020 depression. Found some more nice nature trails in the area while there was some nice weather, which helped. Itching to feel productive again.
