Notes

Berlin:

  • cultural differences: 10am start time seemed early
  • 40 - 45 partcipants
  • marked improvement from Toronto: higher energy in speed geek
  • down-sides on event: didn't do as well as Toronto in pulling non-usual suspects
  • people already working on free culture, wikicommons, etc.
  • running event in English: may have done better on diversity factor if in German
  • organizer and facillitator training: other parts of Italy, Germany, Eastern Europe
  • next event: firm but not confirmed 11 and 12 June Sao Paulo
  • Henrik: local collaboration with Transmedia (sp?) / Transmediala (sp?)
  • interested in making it a monthly or bi-monthly events. Series of events that Drumbeat will be a part of.
  • This will draw more hard-core Berliners
  • Great way to maintain and extend energy
