Local, community-run events are a core part of the Drumbeat strategy. These events invite teachers, artists, filmakers, bloggers, lawyers, web developers and anyone else who cares about the internet to talk about building and protecting the open web for the future. They also provide a place where people can contribute their skills and creativity to practical projects that make the open web better.
Want to get involved?
Come to an event! Or organize one!
And feel free to join the Drumbeat community mailing list and introduce yourself.
Organize an Event!
Mozilla is looking for local leaders who want to organize a Drumbeat event in their own city.
- If you're interested, read the call for event organizers.
- We've started spec'ing out a Drumbeat Local Event Kit, and we encourage your input on what it should provide and include.
- We're also doing Facilitator trainings, have a look and let us know your questions.
- For background info, check out the draft event strategy notes and add your thoughts.
Note: these are still early days and this is all a work in progress.
