Summary

Brainstorming session around how notions of civic engagement and participation can be supported by open data and open tools. Focus on learning through engagement.

What do you want to achieve? (goal)

  • Share perspectives and opportunities, success cases, mistakes, etc from learners and educators.

Who should come? How many? For how long? (audience)

  • People interested in teaching/learning with an activist attitude.

What will they do when they get there? (activities)

  1. Design sprint activity with sticky notes where we could drum up a list of interesting examples or scenarios.
  2. Eliciting what participants already know, in bits, then try to put that in order or expand concepts.
  3. Try to summarize results and create a kind of visual guide or map.

What will you / they have at the end? (outputs)

  • Create something durable, mock up a wiki-map or a DIY minibook that can be spread offline.
