An import aspect to project management is to ensure the right people at the right time are aware and if needed, approve the current state or a specific milestone in a project. By using the project's RASCI and reviewing the Deliverable Review & Approval Workflow document, you should ensure that each major milestone of a project has been approved before moving forward. Approvals are the checks-and-balances of a project and ensure the project is pointed in the right direction and satisfying the original goals.

Examples major project milestones that should be approved before moving forward:

  • UX / wireframes
  • High fidelity designs
  • Working prototypes
  • Final copy
  • Final product (website, logo, billboard, etc.)
