Schedule & Progress on Upcoming Releases (Liz/Sylvestre/Lawrence)

  • Firefox 39.0 shipped last Thursday, updates enabled at 100% yesterday (release notes: desktop, android)
    • Schedule was delayed two days for this release to deal with a critical stability issue and so far there are no major stability issues on 39.0
  • Firefox ESR 31.8.0 and 38.1.0 both shipped last Thursday as well
  • 40.0 beta2 shipped on Tuesday
    • Lots of Windows 10 fixes in beta2 desktop
    • Stability is the best that we've seen in many cycles
  • Next up:
    • Desktop: gtb beta3 Thursday
    • Android: gtb beta4 Monday
  • 40.0 is scheduled for release on Aug 11, 2015
  • 41.0 Aurora updates were re-enabled last Friday
