  • Beginning to share out V0.9 of the AI white paper (reach out to Sarah W with any questions)
  • Continued efforts around large partnerships like the European AI Fund, Data Futures Lab etc. (Mark & Bob)
  • Sending a very targeted grassroots appeal, following up on major donor solicitations, and the individual donor briefing, and hosting a What's on the Horizon 2020 call with funders (foundations) (Partnerships team)
  • Continuing the Zoom campaign, staff rollout of the YouTube regrets extension, next steps in portfolio development (Campaigns team)
  • Published the "When content moderation hurts" article, promoting it via email and social. Recruiting a contractor senior researcher and regional researchers for the data stewardship landscape analysis and exploring collaborations (Insights, Kasia)
  • Movement Building from Home final call, Wrangler recruitment kickoff, new MozFest book essays announced (MozFest team)
  • Lindsey is back from parental leave!
  • MOSS: The Track 2 committee made two more COVID-19 awards; the committee is meeting again to discuss COVID-19 applications this week. (Mehan + Jessica)
  • Call for Proposals for Grant for the Web, and Tech & Society fellowship applications are open (Janice & Melissa)
  • Voice fellowship: working on a fellowship offer or a 2nd fellow in Kigali (Michelle + Ann Marie + HR + Operations)
  • Creative Media Awards: working on research/case-making + timeline/application guide (Jenn)
  • Continued covid-19 contingency planning with current fellows (F&A team + Operations)
  • 10K grant from EIT Climate KIC to curate writing and artwork about a sustainable internet (Michelle)
  • Prep for mid-year evaluation and June virtual All Hands (Paul & Lainie)
  • Closing March Financials and continuing to work on updated 2020 Forecast (Finance & Ops)
  • PNI video call apps - marketing, user journey/empathy mapping progress, donate stack updates/phase 2 planning (Engagement)

Minutes From the Last Executive Team Weekly Meeting

  • Sequencing objectives - The executive team participated in the first of a series of virtual workshops, facilitated by Aleron, to brainstorm the trajectory of our org-wide OKRs over the next few years. The output will tee up objectives for 2021-2023 and reflect where we believe MoFo can add the most value towards the short term outcomes in the AI theory of change.
