  • worked on the "Did you mean X?" feature on Transvision for searches yielding no results
  • Added Travis CI to Transvision
  • Community work to reboot pt-PT (meeting on IRC, asked IT for a mailing list, seeing if we can host them on mozfr server...)
  • Worked on a POC to use the unlocalized in 10 locales firefox/channel page to look for new contributors. That would allow killing the older version on the PHP site and look for new people for these locales at the same time: www.chevrel.org/screenshot/get_l10n_contributors.png (needs approval by jbertsch, now on PTO)
  • Firstrun Nightly now in German + French version promoting the community event we have for May 15

  • Legal: complete localization for most locales and begin engaging communities for reviews for new locales (bn, hi, ta, ru, mk) and existing locales (cs, hr).
  • Marketplace: [in progress]: work with core QA and community on testing Marketplace lite (bn-IN, hi, ta, ru)
  • Marketplace blog site: prepare communication to communities and have a plan B if some communities don't have the bandwidth to support. Send out customized content to localization communities.
  • Marketing [in progress]:
    • Resume screenshot project for 1.3 launch campaign to existing markets (tier1 markets: es, pt-BR; tier2 markets: rest).
    • Learn from Flod to submit file to SVN so marketing terms can move away from google docs.
  • User Research India:
    • Preparation for the trip: reading books/articles, watching movies to get a better understanding of India.
    • Ask questions regarding product development that will impact on l10n.
  • Bidi Contact: Introduce Tom Milo to Web team (Lawrence from Toronto) on web compatibility audit.

Done last week:

  • Marketplace: Marketplace lite localization complete (bn-IN, hi, ta, ru)
  • Marketplace Day: slow turnout due to available hours for most people. Signed up 3 volunteers from India teams
  • Bidi contacts: met Tom Milo and had a better understanding of what he could bring to Mozilla.
