Agenda/Notes

The MDN community meeting takes place in the #mdn channel on irc.mozilla.org at 10 AM PDT (18:00 UTC). See the meeting time in your time zone.

Introductions

Since lots of people lurk in #mdn, if you're actively attending the meeting please speak up and introduce yourself.

  • Attending: sheppy, dvincent, chrismills, teoli

Spam/Account creation status

  • Account creation has been turned back on!
  • However, for the time being, newly created accounts cannot create a page. When they try to do so, they're prompted to file a bug or ask for help. This will be improved, and hopefully will be much more seamless when it's all done.

Help wanted

Please share documentation bugs that need work, or other things where you need short-term help.

  • As always, you can find bugs you can help out with on our Bugs Ahoy page.
  • If you have ideas for things that should be tweeted out by @MozDevNet, please suggest it using our handy form!

Learning area (chris)

I am still writing lots of material for the MDN learning area, but would still love some help reviewing or writing material. You can see what kind of work is up for grabs at our Learning Area Trello Board. Get in touch with me if you want to help (chrismills on IRC.)

Trello board status update

The MDN team is moving to a new process to align itself with the rest of the marketing organization.

Blockers

Is there anything keeping you from making progress?

What are you working on?

Please share recent accomplishments, and goals you have for the next few weeks.

  • (sheppy) All methods on RTCPeerConnection are documented, along with many related dictionaries and enums. Working on properties now.
  • (chrismills) The Firefox OS area of MDN is now the B2G OS area. Volunteers are driving this content now. All old material that no longer applies has been moved to Archive.
  • (chrismills) Firefox OS for TV stuff has been moved to its own subtree on MDN.
  • Any future projects based on B2G OS will have its own tree like that.
